The fire reportedly burned 66 acres Thursday night, but mapping on Friday morning downsized the number to 13 acres.

The recently introduced dashboard shows that, as of Tuesday, the county had received 41 rebuilding applications and issued 12 building permits.

No homes were threatened by the blaze northeast of Simi Valley.

Firefighters have kept the fire from growing for the last few days.

Containment of the Gifford Fire is up to 95% as of midday Tuesday. The latest mapping shows a slight reduction in the burned area to just over 131,000 acres.

All evacuation orders were lifted for the Canyon Fire over the weekend.

The Gifford Fire is at 15% containment as of Friday afternoon.

It topped the 80,000-acre Madre Fire on Tuesday with no containment in sight.

The January 23 Laguna Fire led to the evacuation of Cal State Channel Islands, but the campus was never directly threatened.

Ventura County is still in high fire season and hasn't dropped to winter preparedness levels yet.
