  • Comedy Night returns with another outstanding lineup of nationally touring comedians, each bringing a unique style and years of experience entertaining audiences across the country.

    Chris Cope — a nationally touring comedian known for his quick wit, laid-back storytelling, and appearances on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, Laughs, and Dry Bar Comedy.

    Kevin Flynn — a veteran headliner whose energetic, relatable comedy has made him a favorite at theaters, comedy clubs, and corporate events throughout the country.

    James Connolly — an internationally acclaimed comedian and former writer for Blue Collar TV, known for his sharp observations, engaging storytelling, and appearances on America's Got Talent and television around the world.

    The evening begins with the Alcazar's resident improv team, warming up the crowd with spontaneous comedy before the stand-up takes the stage.

    On Sunday, October 4, the Ojai Art Center Film Branch presents The Chase (1946), a haunting film noir that blurs the line between reality and nightmare.

    Robert Cummings stars as a down-on-his-luck veteran who finds a wallet and returns it to its wealthy owner—only to land a job working for a ruthless Miami gangster, played with chilling menace by Steve Cochran. When he becomes drawn to the gangster’s beautiful, trapped wife (Michèle Morgan), escape seems possible…but in the world of noir, nothing is ever that simple.

    Based on a novel by Cornell Woolrich, The Chase combines crime, romance, suspense, and surreal twists to create one of the more unusual—and wonderfully unpredictable—films of the noir era.

    Also known as Try and Get Me!, the film goes beyond the usual noir shadows and suspense to ask unsettling questions about responsibility, sensationalism, and what happens when public outrage becomes a force of its own.
