Red Flag Warning

Wind not expected to be extreme, but could still hit gusts of 50 miles an hour.

A traditional Red Flag Warning continues. Around 50,000 Southern California Edison customers in Ventura County could be hit by precautionary outages.

But, there is the chance of what's being called a moderate Santa Ana event next week.

But, Santa Anas could return next week.

They are rare, but four have been issued in the last three months, including one leading to November's destructive Mountain Fire in Ventura County.

The PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) Red Flag Warning has been extended from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Santa Ana winds have already arrived, but the highest concern is for early Tuesday morning to midday Wednesday.

But, National Weather Service meteorologists say there's the potential for two more Santa Ana wind events in the next week.

Strongest wind could come in eastern Ventura County and western Los Angeles County.

Wind event for Ventura, Los Angeles Counties didn't materalize as expected.
