Long celebrated for its golden light and serene vistas, the Ojai Valley has inspired generations of artists. Ojai Mystique continues this tradition, inviting nineteen artists from across the region and beyond to immerse themselves in the landscape and translate their impressions into two paintings: a large masterwork and a smaller companion piece.

Demonstrations and artist talks are scheduled throughout the exhibition.

This year’s theme "Wild is the Night" lineup brings together stories of discovery, connection, and the unexpected from wild adventures and larger-than-life journeys to moments of transformation that change us forever. Across each film, we’re reminded that when we step beyond the familiar and into the unknown, we open ourselves to wonder, possibility, and the kind of magic that can only be found after dark. You can bring friends and family to mingle, to picnic, to meet the filmmakers from the films screening; and to make meaningful summer, the screening schedule includes the following films:

Discover the joy of creating and repairing with our welcoming community at the EE Makerspace. Whether you’re a seasoned stitcher or just beginning your sewing journey, our monthly club is the perfect place to bring your projects to life.

Every month, we invite you come to this workshop with your sewing ideas, projects, or mending needs. Our Makerspace is equipped with nine sewing machines and a wide array of materials to fuel your creativity. Plus, our knowledgeable staff is always on hand to offer guidance, tips, and tricks to help you bring your vision to reality.

From crafting personalized garments to reviving old favorites through expert mending techniques, there’s no limit to what you can achieve with our supportive community by your side.

Ages 13+

In this introductory workshop, participants will learn the basic process of making handmade paper using prepared plant-based pulp. The workshop will introduce the steps of sheet formation, couching, pressing, and drying, while giving participants time to experiment with texture, fiber, and surface.

This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for people with little or no prior paper-making experience. Participants will learn how paper can function as both a practical material and an artistic medium, and will leave with a basic understanding of the process along with handmade paper sheets they create during the workshop.

Join us for the Designing Futures Teen Art Show, a free community event showcasing and selling original artwork created by local artists ages 10–18. Designing Futures is a free summer entrepreneurship program that teaches young artists how to build a creative business by exploring branding, pricing, marketing, and professional presentation. The Teen Art Show is the culmination of the program, where participants will exhibit and sell their work to the public for the first time.
Visitors can browse a variety of original artwork while supporting emerging artists from across Conejo Valley. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
