It's the first time some of the historic manuscripts have been displayed in the United States in more than a decade.

Eight scrolls were added to the exhibition in Simi Valley to replace eight that must be taken off display to protect them against damage from light exposure.

Because of its sensitivity to light, it can only be displayed for two weeks. Then it must be stored in darkness for two years.
