The Crop Hunger Walk has been called the "granddaddy of all walks" by the Los Angeles Times. The walks first began in 1969 and now they number in the hundreds and have raised millions of dollars to end hunger here in the community and around the world.
The main walk is approximately 4 miles, there is also a 20 minute guided campus stroll for those that prefer something shorter.
This is the 48th time that we will walk in the Conejo Valley, last year we had over 200 walkers and raised almost $40,000. 25% of the money is distributed to local groups fighting hunger: Manna and Harvest Food banks, Harbor House and Meals on Wheels. The rest is distributed by CWS Global here in the US and globally to fight hunger and provide disaster relief through local agencies.
Hunger is a growing problem, and reduced government support has led to a surge in clients for local organizations. Help us end hunger, nobody should go to bed hungry.

Now in our 50th year of serving Ventura County, the Coalition for Family Harmony—founded in 1976 in Oxnard, CA—is the only rape crisis center in the region to provide emergency domestic violence shelters counseling, legal services, and a 24-hour hotline with crisis response.

Our main fundraiser every year is Denim Day. It is held on the last Wednesday of April during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and raises awareness about sexual violence and challenges victim blaming. It began after a 1998 Italian court overturned a rape conviction, suggesting tight jeans implied consent. In protest, women in Italy’s Parliament wore jeans—sparking a global movement. Wearing denim shows support for survivors and promotes education about consent and prevention.

Since 1996, The Garden Tour – created and still run by a passionate team of volunteers – is one of Camarillo’s signature events! Now celebrating its 28th year, this unforgettable afternoon promises a perfect blend of beauty, creativity, and community. Green & Blue: A Coastal Celebration, is our biggest fundraiser of the year, taking place in the beautiful gardens at Rancho La Patera & Stow House in Goleta, CA. Each year, this event brings together more than 500 guests from across the tri-county region. At Green & Blue we celebrate the many accomplishments this organization has achieved over our years and help raise critical funds to ensure EDC remains strong to protect this region for those who love it now and those who will follow in our footsteps. Guests enjoy gourmet food, local wine and beer, lively auctions, and the presentation of the 2026 Environmental Hero Award. Past awardees include actress Jane Fonda, musician Jack Johnson, and Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard, who are locally rooted, internationally recognized environmentalists.
