Something Cupid Like I Love You: The Ventura County Valentine's Car Grams Safely Delivering Love

Courtesy of Conejo Valley Recreation and Parks

It’s a celebration of love – but how can we celebrate Valentine’s Day this week when we have to keep apart?

In Ventura County this year, you could consider sending a “Cupid Car” – a socially-distanced love-gram you can send to drop off a gift to someone you love.

The Cupid Car is a white Chevy, decorated with red hearts and tinsel.

America Nava is from Conejo Valley Recreation and Parks and she says it's a way to show love in a socially distanced way, to those isolated during the pandemic.

"We know it's been a little tough this year on everyone so we wanted to offer a program where we could fulfil all the CDC guidelines, where you had no contact, but were still able to find a way to send a message to appreciate a loved one or a neighbor or a friend," Nava told KCLU.

The grams will have chocolates or cakes or a cuddly toy, delivered contactless.

You can send a Cupid Car Valentines gram on Friday February 12 by booking through Conejo Recreation and Parks District
