South Coast Mayor Reaching Out To Help Small Businesses Struggling With Coronavirus Crisis

The mayor of a South Coast city is reaching out to her constituents as the coronavirus crisis rocks businesses.

Mayor Cathy Murillo of Santa Barbara is going business to business with Councilwoman Megan Harmon talking about small business administration financial aid, for businesses that are struggling.

"They can out low-interest loans through the Small Business Administration, which is a federal agency, " Murillo said. "We're also trying to get the state and federal government to give direct grants."

Murillo says this is very similar to the type of relief authorities provided after the Montecito Debris Flow in 2018.

Andy worked at KCLU from 2016 until 2022.
