There are now 23 confirmed cases of coronavirus on the Central and South Coast. Ventura County now has 13 cases, San Luis Obispo County is up to seven, and Santa Barbara County has three.
In Ventura County, a shelter in place order is in effect for those 75 and older. Those 70 and older with serious issues are also being told to stay at home, and away from other people.
In San Luis Obispo County, a countywide shelter in home order takes effect at 5 p.m. Thursday. People can still leave their homes to go to work, the store or for a walk, as long as they follow social distancing guidelines.
