Ventura County Man Accused Of Paying Overseas Families To Livestream Abuse Of Children

Federal prosecutors say a Ventura County man offered families overseas money to livestream the sexual abuse of their children.

Prosecutors say William Hayes of Newbury Park was arrested by FBI agents for a five count federal grand jury indictment.

The indictment claims that the 57 year old man offered to pay facilitators so he could watch as the young girls engaged in sexual activity, or were abused.

Prosecutors say he also had child pornography on his computer.

If convicted of all of the charges, he could face a 15-years-to-life prison sentence.
