A privately owned junior college with 17 campuses around the state has added one to the Central Coast. San Joaquin Valley College has a new campus in Santa Maria. The more than four decade old college system provides a mix of classroom and hands on experience to prepare students for jobs.
Some of the programs include ones for people interested in careers like clinical medical assisting, medical office administration, and heating and air conditioning installation and repair.
The accredited, family owned for-profit college system has had more than 60,000 graduates since being founded in 1977.
