A 70 year old Ventura County man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of repeatedly molesting three of his relatives. Prosecutors say Salvador Banales committed the crimes against the young girls over a more than decade long period.
The Oxnard man was convicted of more than a half dozen molestation counts, along with a number of special circumstances. The prosecution’s evidence included video, when one of the crimes was captured on a home surveillance camera. Banales received a 78 years to life sentence for the crimes.
