Potentially Dangerous Brush Fire Conditions In Forecast For Central, South Coasts

We could see some dangerous brush fire conditions for parts of the Central and South Coasts for the next few days.

Gusty wind conditions are in the forecast for Wednesday night for Santa Barbara County’s mountains, but it’s not expected to be bad enough to trigger Red Flag Warnings.

However, there will be a Red Flag warning for Ventura and Los Angeles County mountains from 10 a.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. Friday. Gusts could hit 50 to 70 miles an hour, with humidity dropping below 10%. Conditions will ease on Saturday.

However, there is the potential for another wind event for Ventura and LA County mountains Sunday through Tuesday.
