Dangerous Brush Fire Conditions, Red Flag Alerts For Parts Of Central And South Coasts

The Central and South Coasts are facing dangerous fire brush fire conditions Monday and Tuesday.

Strong wind is in the forecast for parts of the region through Tuesday night. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. The warning expands to Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties Monday morning.

Despite the scattered weekend rain, the wind is expected to dry out potential fuel. Humidity levels are expected to drop to 4% to the 12% range Monday in Ventura County. The strongest wind is expected in Ventura County, with moderate wind in the Santa Barbara and Ventura County mountains.
