Man Accused Of Making Illegal Fireworks At His Ventura County Home; 800 Pounds Of Fireworks Seized

A Ventura County man is facing charges ranging from possession of explosives to child endangerment after authorities say he was making and selling illegal fireworks at his home.

Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives say they got information that Ricardo Nuno was selling fireworks from his house on Ortega Street in Fillmore. They got a search warrant, and say they found 800 pounds of illegal fireworks, and evidence he was making fireworks.

Investigators say the fireworks scattered around the house not only endangered him, but his family as well. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad was called out to help disposed of the illegal fireworks.
