Los Angeles may now be home to two pro football teams, but for the next month, Oxnard can claim the franchise simply known as “America’s Team.”
Dallas Cowboys fans from around the country will be flocking to Oxnard, as the city hosts the team’s training camp from July 24th to August 17th.
The camp will once again take place next to the Marriott Residence Inn off of West Vineyard Avenue, in Oxnard.
Oxnard Assistant City Manager Jesus Nava says admission remains free, and the city has lowered the parking fee this year for fans.
The Cowboys will arrive by charter plane at Naval Base Ventura County Saturday, where they will have a private event for military personnel. The camp will officially open Monday afternoon, with 15 practice sessions open to the public.
