UC Santa Barbara, Cal Lutheran Pull Plug On More Than 60 Cultural Events Over Coronavirus Concerns

The coronavirus threat has impacted many aspects of our lives on the Central and South Coasts. Dozens of cultural events are among the latest cancellations on the Central and South Coasts. UC Santa Barbara’s Arts And Lectures has just announced it cancelling the remaining 29 events in its current season.

They include things ranging from a lecture by famed naturalist Jane Goodhall to a concert by John Batiste’s band, Stay Human.

Arts and Lectures officials are asking people to be patient, because they are having to process refunds for thousands of tickets.

Meanwhile, Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks announced it’s pulling the plug on more than 30 events, ranging from poetry readings to a mariachi concert.
