Free Outdoor Film Series Starring 50's Classics Kicks Off On South Coast

"Roman Holiday" kicks off the seven film summer movies series at the Santa barbara County Courthouse this summer

A South Coast summer movie series which presents classics under the stars is celebrating a big anniversary this year. It’s the 10th anniversary of the annual outdoor Summer Film Series at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse Sunken Gardens.  Each year has a specific theme. This year, the seven film series is called “Those Fabulous 50’s.”

UCSB Arts & Lectures and the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts & Culture present the free series. The mix of films includes a wide range of classics which are rarely seen on TV anymore.

People can begin setup at noon the day of the screening, by leaving blankets. Low beach chairs are permitted, and the event is dog friendly.
