COVID-19 Vaccine On The Way For Central, South Coasts

There’s some good news in the battle against COVID-19 on the Central and South Coasts.  The first vaccinations are expected to take place in the region the middle of this week.

Health care providers will be getting the first shots. The first vaccine is expected in Ventura County Tuesday, with vaccinations probably starting Wednesday.

More than doctors and nurses will be in the first round of shots.  Others who work around patients will be on the first wave of vaccinations.  Next on the priority list are workers and residents of senior care facilities, followed by others in high risk categories.

It’s expected to be spring before vaccine is available for the general public.
