Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine Department invites you to virtually attend its November 2023 presentation.

PRESENTER: Ken Duckworth, MD, Chief Medical Officer of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

Dr. Duckworth will discuss NAMI’s free programs, research and NAMI’s first book, You are Not Alone. NAMI interviewed 130 people who have helped themselves or family members with serious mental health concerns. The method used was designed to elevate the voice of lived experience and to identify real people while reducing shame and isolation, which can be common with mental health and addiction issues.
