Trekking Ambassadors (http://trekkingambassadors.com/), a Santa Barbara-based international trekking organization presents a 5K Trail Run - Hike “FUN-draiser” on Saturday, November 5th at 11:00 AM. Proceeds will benefit the adventure hiking team on a mission to deliver critically needed solar lights and reading eyeglasses to remote villagers in the Mount Everest region. Additional beneficiaries are Santa Barbara Wellness Trekking Ambassadors’ non-profit umbrella organization), Unite to Light, dedicated to providing low-cost solar light and power to those without electricity across the globe and The Waldorf School of Santa Barbara. The event will be held at Tucker’s Grove Park, located at 4800 Cathedral Oaks Road. To register as an individual, family or team, click here. There will also be chair massages, a giant chocolate chip cookie bake sale and body composition/antioxidant readings.
