Celebrate with August Crafternoons: Fiesta Finds! ¡Reuso Creativo! Join us every Wednesday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the EE Makerspace above Art From Scrap.

This month, we’re honoring Santa Barbara’s Fiesta with eco-friendly crafts that bring the fiesta's spirit to life! Perfect for kids ages 5 and up, these projects use reclaimed materials in colorful and creative ways.

Fiesta Finds Projects include:
Maracas – Shake up the celebration with festive maracas made from repurposed containers, beads, and bright decorations.
Cardboard Castanets – Create your own rhythmic castanets using recycled cardboard and bottle caps for that authentic fiesta sound!
Ojo de Dios – Weave vibrant yarn patterns onto sticks for a meaningful, traditional craft.
There’s something for everyone at Crafternoons. Come craft, create, and celebrate culture and sustainability with us!

Cost: $8.00 per person. Crafternoons are for kids ages 5 and up.
Please note our workshop is upstairs and uses hot glue guns. Adults must remain in the EE Makerspace with their child.
