Weekend Storm Brings 1-2" Of Rain To Central, South Coasts; No Major Issues In Fire Burn Zones

The first in a series of storms expected to hit the Central and South Coasts broughtone to two inches of rainfall to much of the region, but no major debris flow problems were reported in brush fire burn areas.

San Marcos Pass recorded 1.7" of rain, the Montecito foothills 1.28", and there was an inch in downtown Santa Barbara.  Ventura had 1.16", and Ojai 1.15"

The next storm system is expected to arrive in the region Monday, with 1-2" of rain on the coast and inland, and up to 3" in the foothills and mountains.  The heaviest rainfall is expected between midday Monday and Monday night.

A third system Wednesday and Thursday could be the most powerful of the three, but meteorologists say at this point the computer models are still too preliminary to get an accurate read on the system.
