Two funds have been established in Ventura County to help the victims and the families of the Borderline shooting victims.

The Ventura County Community Foundation has teamed up with the City of Thousand Oaks, the Conrad Hilton Foundation, the Amgen Foundation and the California Community Foundation.  The fund’s slogan is “together we mourn, together we stand.” You can find a link to the fund here.

Meanwhile, the Rotary Club of Westlake Village is sponsoring what’s being called the “Borderline Shooting Victims Fund.” The goal of the fundraising effort is to raise $50,000 through a GoFundMe campaign.

Lance Orozco has been News Director of KCLU since 2001, providing award-winning coverage of some of the biggest news events in the region, including the Thomas and Woolsey brush fires, the deadly Montecito debris flow, the Borderline Bar and Grill attack, and Ronald Reagan's funeral.
