Authorities Ask For Blood Donations In Wake Of Borderline Shooting

UPDATE: Appointments are full at La Reina High School.

Thousand Oaks Mayor Andy Fox said at a morning press conference there will be a community vigil at 6 tonight for the victims of the shooting at Borderline Bar and Grill.

Fox said that one of the biggest concerns now is the need for blood for those who were injured.

21 people were injured, and 13 people are confirmed dead, including the gunman.

O negative blood is needed and can be donated at La Reina High School at 106 West Janss Road in Thousand Oaks. Donation stations will be in place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. this afternoon.

Mayor Fox also announced that a victims' fund has been set up. Donations can be made to the Ventura County Community Foundation.
