Number Of Structures Lost To Woolsey Fire In Ventura, Los Angeles Counties Now Tops 1500

There’s been another major spike in the estimated number of structures destroyed by the massive Woolsey brush fire in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.

The latest figures show more than 1500 structures have been destroyed, and more than 330 damaged.

The fire is 94% contained, but the losses are increasing because assessment teams are getting the opportunity to map burn areas. There’s no breakdown yet on how many of those structures are homes.

The acreage burned now stands at 96,000 acres, down about two thousand acres from the estimates over the weekend.

All evacuation orders have been lifted in Ventura County. Most of the orders have also since been lifted in the Malibu area, but there are some areas in Los Angeles County which still have evacuation orders in place.
