Fatal Hit And Run On South Coast Now Being Called Intentional

The hit and run death of a man on the South Coast which was initially labeled suspicious is now being called a homicide. The collision happened May 23rd, on Mariposa Street in Oxnard. A vehicle hit and killed Michael Holley of Oxnard, and fled the scene.

As traffic investigators began looking at evidence and talking to witnesses, they thought the collision might not have been an accident. The Major Crimes Unit was called in to take over the investigation. Detectives now say they think the driver of the vehicle intentionally hit the 31 year old man.

They are looking for a light colored late model pickup truck, possibly a Dodge.
