Arrest Made In South Coast Murder

There’s been an arrest in a fatal stabbing on the South Coast, but detectives are still trying to figure out the motive behind it. On January 26th, Carlos Murillo was found on the ground in an Oxnard neighborhood with multiple stab wounds. The 24 year old man died at the scene.

Oxnard Police investigators working with Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives identified Librado Rojo of Oxnard as a possible suspect. They worked on gathering evidence, and Monday afternoon, arrested the 19 year old man.

Detectives say there are still a number of unanswered questions about the case, but say they don’t think the killing was gang related.
