Investigators have made an arrest in Oregon for the shooting death of a teenager in Ventura County. Oxnard Police say Peter Morales was shot September 14th. The 17 year old died at a hospital a short time after the attack on Elsinore Circle. Detectives talked to a number of people in connection with the murder, and eventually identified Jose Manuel Dimas as a suspect.

They also learned he might be in Oregon.

Working with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, the FBI, the U.S. Marshal’s Office, Oregon State Police, and Hillsboro, Oregon police, the 21 year old man was located.

He was arrested this week in Hood River County, and will be extradited to Ventura County to face a murder charge.
