Central Coast College Offering On-Line Classes For Youngsters

Hancock College/You Tube

A central coast college is offering 5th and 6th graders, the chance to learn about rocketry or math virtually.

Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria has shifted their classes – which are normally held in person – to on line.

Families can learn about rocketry and math with the PI Pups video, or perhaps practice stretching and dance with the Dance Dogs, and solve a mystery with Baker Street Bulldogs.

These are all classes which are on-line for free, taught by faculty staff from Hancock College in Santa Maria.

Maggie Moreton, who is co-ordinating the project for the College, says it's a way for the college to reach out to pre-college age kids, and inspire them to consider that college might be for them.
