Storm Finally Clearing Central, South Coasts But Another Coming Sunday

A storm that brought rain, hail, and snow to the Central and South Coasts is finally moving out of the region Friday night.

We could see a few more showers, and even isolated thunderstorms, but the system is moving east.

Rainfall totals in the region since Tuesday ranged from around a half inch to nearly two inches in spots.  Thousand Oaks had .77” rain, Oxnard .43”, Santa Barbara 1.57”, Solvang .74”, and Pismo Beach 1.29”.

Hail hit a number of areas, including Santa Barbara, Newbury Park, and Simi Valley.  The region’s mountains still could see more snow, with the snow level down to around 3000 feet.

We’ll get a brief break going into the weekend, but another system could bring around a half inch of rain to the Central and South Coasts Sunday night and Monday.
