Search Continues For Missing Diver In Channel Islands

Helicopters involved in the search effort for a missing diver in the Channel Islands

The search is continuing for a diver who disappeared in the Channel Islands.

Ryder Stuart of Port Hueneme was lobster diving off of Santa Cruz Island Sunday when he failed to surface.  His dive partner called authorities. 

A U.S. Coast Guard cutter, and helicopter started a search, with Santa Barbara County adding a helicopter to the effort Monday.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office Underwater Search and Recovery Team has been joined by dive teams from Los Angeles, and Ventura Counties.
