A Santa Barbara County based relief group is sending critically needed coronavirus treatment supplies to hospitals facing shortages around the country. Direct Relief is in the process of sending out 500 supply packs. Each one of the “push packs” contains enough key medicines and supplies to treat about 100 patients.
The kits contain 14 different medications. They were developed by medical specialists who were able to identify what is needed, in conjunction with health care companies. The first shipments have already been received by hospitals in New York, New Jersey, and California.
