Memorial Service Plans Announced For Oxnard Police Officer Killed In Traffic Accident

Memorial service plans have been announced for an Oxnard Police officer who died in a traffic accident.

Services will be held in Camarillo on Friday for Nathan Martin.

The 45 year old officer was fatally injured in an off-duty accident last Wednesday.  He had just left work, and was riding his motorcycle in downtown Oxnard when he collided with a big rig.

The memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Camarillo at 11 a.m. Friday.  Following the church service, there will be a motorcade to Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, where there will be a graveside service.

Martin had been with the department for 20 years.  He's survived by his wife, and three children.
