The South Coast is home to a unique program focused on giving people with autism a chance to pursue their artistic dreams. It’s an art studio which gives those with on the autism spectrum the support the need to create everything from paintings to digital art.
In Ventura County, the one of a kind program is allowing some budding artists to express their vision of art in many different ways.

The five year old program tries to provide the support for so participants can find their artistic voices. In a room at Studio Channel Islands, which is a former school campus, you see the artists working on a variety of projects.
The studio is showcasing its artists this weekend. It’s hosting its Fifth Annual Sparkler event Saturday. There’s a gallery exhibition where you can see the art, meet the artists, plus enjoy live music and food trucks. It’s one of the biggest events of the year for the non-profit, which relies on fundraisers and donations to survive. It’s 4-8 p.m. Saturday, at the Studio Channel Islands complex in Camarillo.
