Storm Passing Through Central, South Coasts Fizzles; Clearing For New Year's Eve, Day

A storm system which was expected to bring light rain to much of the Central and South Coasts fizzled into little, or no rainfall for the region. The storm system tracked farther west than expected as it moved offshore down the state’s coastline. What little rainfall we had was mostly on the Central Coast.

Nipomo recorded .07", and Solvang .02". On the South Coast, San Marcos Pass had .03" of rain, and Santa Barbara .01".

The rainfall missed Ventura County. The system is clearing the region Monday night, with mostly sunny skies in the forecast through the weekend.
