First Rain Of Season In Forecast For Central, South Coasts; No Brush Fire Burn Area Issues Expected

After days of hot and windy weather, the Central and South Coasts are going to get their first shot at some rainfall. But, rain amounts are predicted to be well below levels which would create issues for the region’s brush fire burn areas.

A system which has already created some rain to the south of us is expected to spread into Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties starting Wednesday morning. Areas south of Point Conception are expected to get the most rain, but totals could be in the quarter inch range.

The chance of showers is in the forecast through Thursday, but National Weather Service meteorologists say the forecast is a little tricky. They say the timing of the showers clearing is a little unclear.
