Showers, Thunderstorms For Parts Of Central And South Coasts; Unstable Weather Through Weekend

A low pressure system moving through the Central and South Coasts is creating some unstable conditions, which could mean everything from light rain to thunderstorms for the weekend.

The heaviest rain so far has been in the mountains of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, where we’ve seen between a third of an inch, and an inch of rain.

Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo each received .01” of an inch of rain.  But, Buellton received more than a quarter inch of rainfall.

We could see a chance of light rain, end even thunderstorms through the weekend, with the biggest chance in the mountains.  There are no watches or warnings for the region’s brush fire burn zones.  Dry weather is coming, but unfortunately, that’s expected for Monday.

Keep your umbrella handy through the weekend.
