Man Convicted Of Stealing Computers And Tablets From Several Ventura County Schools

A Ventura County man is potentially facing more than 15 years in state prison after being convicted of running a burglary operation which targeted tablets, and computers in public schools. Prosecutors say Cory Fletcher of Oxnard was responsible for seven school burglaries in Ventura County.

They say he had two other people helping him. Investigators say in one case, he broke into the home of an elementary school teacher, stole her keys, and used them to burglarize her school.

The 47 year old man was convicted more than a dozen burglary related charges. The electronics he stole were tablets and computers used by students to improve classroom learning.
