Containment Up To 60% On Brush Fire In Conejo Valley

Firefighters have 60% containment Friday night of a brush fire which was visible throughout much of the Conejo Valley. The Wendy Fire started just after 7 Thursday night, and charred more than 90 acres of brush in the hills south of Newbury Park.

Firefighters aided by helicopters and bulldozers stopped the spread of the fire in about four hours.

No homes were threatened. There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire.
