One person is dead following a plane crash on the South Coast. A small experimental plane went down in a field near Camarillo Airport at around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon.
It burst into flames.
Ventura County firefighters quickly put out the blaze, but the pilot was pronounced dead at the scene.
Federal investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash. The name of the victim hasn’t been released.
