Prosecutors Say 13 Arrested In Connection With International Drug Ring Linked To Ventura County

Federal prosecutors say 13 people were arrested Thursday in connection with an international drug ring which had ties to Ventura County. Prosecutors say the ring involving as many as 30 people smuggled cocaine, Ecstasy, and other drugs from Mexico all the way up to Canada.

They say the shipments came through a number of locations, including Ventura, Costa Mesa, Compton, and Redlands. Nearly 950 pounds of cocaine was seized, along with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of other drugs.

Investigators say the drug trafficking operation included members of Canadian, Mexican, Serbian, Chinese, and Sudanese organized crime groups.
