A small brush fire is burning in the Newbury Park area Friday afternoon

Firefighters are battling a small brush fire in Ventura County.

The blaze has burned about six acres of land in Newbury Park, off of the 2900 block of Potrero Road.

There isn’t much wind, but Ventura County firefighters say some structures were threatened by the fire which started at around 4 p.m.  They say they are getting the upper hand on the blaze.

Some roads have been closed in the area.
