Brush Fire Causes Concern, But No Serious Problems In Central Ventura County

A brsuh fire outside of Santa Paula puts up some smoke Thursday morning

Firefighters are mopping up a brush fire which created some concern, but no threat to buildings in the Santa Clara River Valley Thursday.

The Briggs fire broke out off of Highway 126, near Briggs Road in the Santa Paula area just after 1 a.m..

The 50 acre blaze put up a lot of smoke, but no homes were threatened. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
