Thunderstorms Prompt Flash Flood Watch For Central, South Coast Mountains

Thunderstorm activity prompted a Flash Flood Watch for mountain areas of the Central and South Coasts Saturday.  There could be locally heavy rainfall at times in mountain areas Saturday afternoon and evening.  However, no watches or warnings have been issued for the region's brush fire burn zones.

There could be some locally heavy rainfall in the Cuyama Valley, and the inland valleys of San Luis Obispo County as well.  Meteorologists say the showers could extend into the Ojai Valley, but don't think they will have the intensity there to cause serious issues for Thomas brush fire burn areas.
