CHP investigators are trying to determine exactly what led to a traffic accident which left two men dead in Ventura County. The crash involved a car being driven northbound on the Pacific Coast Highway near Oxnard.
Just before five Friday night, it veered off the road near the Hueneme Road offramp. It hit a guardrail and a metal pole. The driver, Giovanni Corona of Oxnard, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, Fernando Morales of Oxnard, was also killed.
The CHP is investigating witness reports saying the car was speeding just before the accident.
