New Plan Intended To Help Ventura County Better Deal With Future Disasters

Ventura County has developed a plan to try to help it better recover from large scale disasters like the Thomas Fire. The 35 page report being presented to Ventura County Supervisors Tuesday is intended to serve as a guidebook for officials dealing with major emergencies.

It outlines who is responsible for what post-disaster, and provides a listing of available resources. The Ventura County Disaster Recovery Plan was developed as a result of things learned trying to cope with the aftermath of the Thomas Fire.
