Nation's Largest Cycling Event Announces Details Of Race Stages On Central, South Coasts

The nation’s largest cycling event is again returning to the Central and South Coast, with details announced about two race stages in the region. The 2019 Amgen Tour of California will include a seven day, 773 mile men’s course.

The race takes place May 12th-18th.

On May 15th, riders will travel 132 miles from the Monterey area to Morro Bay.

Then, on May 16th, the riders will go from Pismo Beach to Ventura.  That 136 mile stage will start at the Pismo Pier. It will travel through the Santa Ynez Valley on Highway 154, then take Highway 192 through the Santa Barbara Montecito, and Carpinteria foothills before heading to the finish in Ventura.

The first of three stages for women will take place on May 16th on Ventura with a 60 mile out and back course in Ventura County, with the final 35 miles the same route the men are using.
