Ventura County Man Could Spend Life In Prison For Intentionally Causing Fatal Traffic Collision

A Ventura County man received a 34 years to life prison sentence for intentionally ramming his car into another vehicle, killing one person and injuring a second. Prosecutors say Eduardo Robles was headed westbound on Highway 126 May 31st when he sped up, and hit the car ahead of him.

That vehicle veered across the highway, and hit an oncoming tractor trailer rig. The car’s driver, Benjamin Brown, was killed. Investigators say Robles was trying to kill himself and the passenger in his car.

The passenger in the Fillmore man’s car escaped with minor injuries.
