California Lutheran University is joining with more than three dozen other independent universities to set up guaranteed admissions for students from some community college campuses.

The Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities and the California Community Colleges announced the new pathway agreement.

Qualified students will be able to transfer in as juniors, with at least 60 transferred units being accepted.

The Thousand Oaks based university holds recruitment events at a number of community college campuses in the region, and has some special scholarships available.  Cal Lutheran is the parent of KCLU Radio.

Lance Orozco has been News Director of KCLU since 2001, providing award-winning coverage of some of the biggest news events in the region, including the Thomas and Woolsey brush fires, the deadly Montecito debris flow, the Borderline Bar and Grill attack, and Ronald Reagan's funeral.
